Education in Niger

This World Bank clip highlights the low level of education in Niger, and the impact of Learning Improvement for Results in Education in boosting literacy.
However, at it's core is a simple message - education is an essential part of development, especially in one of the world's poorest nations, Niger.
In Niger, 99% of 10-year-olds cannot read or understand a short story and more than half of children between the ages of 7 and 12 are not in school due to a lack of facilities and resources.
