Happy New Year to all Economics quizzers! Here's the first weekly economics news quiz of 2025. The quiz has 8 multi-choice questions about news events relating to economics from over the Christmas period. Most of the questions relate to the UK economy but some may focus on global stories. Each answer contains a brief explanation.
Teachers can use the quiz in one of 3 ways:
- Run the online version below in classroom mode - this runs all of the questions before revealing the answers
- Ask students to complete the quiz individually using their own devices
- Run the quiz using the Powerpoint version available as a download below
