A big hat tip to the irrepressible Lord Sutch for this super revision starter exercise ....one that needs virtually no preparation and can be customised to groups of different sizes. I have drawn from his recent entry on the Business Blog. Many of his creative and innovative starter activities can be found here.

Students can take responsibility or deciding whether a word can be allowed, the teacher can act as final arbiter.

This activity can also be made interactive by writing a word on the board and then inviting students to come up and add their own. The end result is a really cool looking whiteboard full of key words.
