Economics memes

I spent an enjoyable 20 minutes with my Economics class today going through the pictures on the "economics memes" website. The best bit was that we got to discuss current events and entertainment using economic theory as the base for it all.

The website is www.economicsmemes.com and the pictures are sorted into categories on the right hand side of the page. My favorite is the one referencing Cristiano Ronaldo's "sadness" and I have included this and a couple of the other good ones below. For each one you can get the class to describe the context of the meme e.g. which TV show / movie / current event is it referencing and then discuss the economics behind it. Enjoy!
