Economics at the Movies - The Damned United and the Principle Agent Problem

Eddie Reynolds has sent through some of his favourite movie clips for teaching economic principles. For starters here is a superb idea - in this short clip from ‘The Damned United’, Brian Clough (played by Michael Sheen) is arguing with his club chairman at Derby County (played by an acting legend Jim Broadbent) about who is responsible for for signing players - the essence of the principle agent problem is revealed for all to see!
