Economics at the Movies - For the Love of the Game

This is great for getting across the concept of ceteris paribus – isolating all of the many other variables that might affect the performance of a baseball pitcher (Kevin Costner) when he comes to throw the vital pitch. We have also used extended clips from this movie to illustrate some principles from game theory. And also diminishing returns – from pitching every ball in every inning!
