Dynamic Efficiency - Emirates Tests Sustainable Aviation Fuel

31st January 2023
Emirates have run a test flight with one engine powered entirely by sustainable aviation fuel, as part of its commitment to developing greener fuels.
That said, sustainable fuels are three to five times more expensive than conventional fuels - and although upgraded GE engines can now use a 50:50 sustainable fuel/conventional fuel mix, there's still a way to go to making the aviation sector entirely sustainable.
And the drive for a zero carbon economy, and increased green investment has boosted growth, created job opportunities and resulted in higher wages for those people involved in the sector according to the CBI reported here.
