Do Uber drivers earn less than minimum wage?

For a data driven business, Uber is notably reluctant to nail down hard figures for the percentage of their 30,000 drivers who are earning less than the statutory minimum wage or who have driven more than 60 hours a week. This interview between Evan Davis (BBC Newsnight) and Jo Bertram - the woman who runs Uber in the UK, Ireland and the Nordics. is a revealing exercise in dodging some difficult questions.
