Direct cash transfers and cutting extreme poverty in Yemen
22nd September 2020

It offers a powerful endorsement of the case for aid. However, on the flip side, it also highlights the adverse effects of war on developmental prospects, and you might wonder whether the World Bank - and the international comnmunity more generally - would be better served looking at the cause of the problem, rather than simply treating its symptoms.
