“The bidet, once the height of sophistication in bathrooms, is slowly dying out in Britain.”

According to this article, bidets appear to have fallen out of fashion in Britain as people prefer larger walk-in showers and so-called wet rooms.

Using the mnemonic PACIFICS of factors which shift demand (Population, Advertising, Complements, Incomes, Fashions, Income tax, Confidence and Substitutes) pupils could illustrate what’s happening in the market for this piece of classic bathroom furniture…and maybe even suggest possible other uses!
