Demand and supply in a action - HMV suffers a freeze in profits

Here is the first report I’ve seen of a companies share price being affected by the big freeze. HMV have seen a huge reduction in sales as customers have stayed in to make their Christmas purchases.

Other businesses are thriving due to the weather with one of my Young Enterprise groups making a fortune from selling hats and ear muffs this week! Can your students think of any companies that would see a big increase in demand due to the cold?
