An entertaining plenary game that’s nice and simple to set up…

I was racking my brain the other night for a good plenary activity for one of my AS Economics groups, and then a lightbulb went on and I came up with this game… (by the way, I don’t think this is completely original)

Define that term:

Get a student to volunteer first, sit them in a chair at the front of the room, facing towards the rest of the class. Then display on the board (I’m assuming you have a projector here) a key term (e.g. ‘economic growth’) and five associated words. The rest of the class have to describe economic growth without mentioning it OR any of the five words listed below. See the sample slides below…

It proved to be a hilariously entertaining 5-minute end to the lesson, and I’d recommend it as a fun plenary to use from time to time. If you’d like my original powerpoint, click here
