Crunch Time - The Blame Game Begins

I think we’ll see an increasing number of articles like the one in the Guardian today. It attempts to lay the blame for the credit crunch and subsequent downturn at the feet of 25 individuals…

An interesting list which, by definition, is highly subjective.

Is there there anyone missing who ought to be included? David Cameron for his sustained attempts to run the country down? Alistair Darling? Bernard Madoff perhaps?

Are there people on the list who don’t deserve to be there?

The list is meant to identify the culprits who led the global economy into the downturn. To quote the introduction:

“Guardian City editor Julia Finch picks out the individuals who have led us into the current crisis”

So who would you have on your list?
