Creative destruction in action - the death of the music industry

The graph below nicely illustates Shumpeter’s “creative destruction” by “showing the utter collapse of music sales during the digital era.” I’m not a music industry expert but music downloading through file sharing and use of torrents etc seems to be so widespread, I don’t see how industry revenues can ever recover from this.
