Consumption Graphic

19th January 2011

Good graphics on population and Consumption in January 2011’s National Geographic magazine. Opportunity for cross-curricular understanding.

We made A3 size colour copies and laminated them to show the global differences in population and Consumption and used them in class to launch various discussions on Aggregate Demand.
The population graphic discusses age-distribution differentials which the students could discuss as determinants of Consumption, thereby on Aggregate Demand. There are other comparisons, such as Consumption, GDP and development. Terrific launchpoint for analysis and evaluation. National Geographic also has various images from the magazine online.
