Clash of the Titans - National competition for students of economics

9th January 2018
I blogged about the Economic Research Council's annual competition 'Clash of the Titans' back in November. If you haven't seen the competition yet, then I would highly recommend having a look - it's a great way to engage your students in real world economics.
The competition asks students to make quarterly predictions for a variety of economic indicators. Having entered the competition, students are able to track their progress and see how they compare to the ERC's 'Titans' - a selection of the country's top economists.
Our friends at the ERC have now developed a number of useful documents to support teachers who are promoting the competition with their students. These include a lesson plan, a student worksheet and a group and individual entry form. The group form is for teachers who wish to enter a group of students into the competition as one job lot.
Good luck to any students entering!
