China pushes for their own regional trade deal

The demise of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP) has opened the door to the tantalising possibility that the Chinese will conclude a regional trade deal of their own.
The Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership being proposed has the potential to bolster the Chinese position in the region to the detriment of the US. Trump voters need to be careful what they've wished for, and subsequently voted into office. More here in this video from BBC news.
