Changes to the CPI Basket for 2017

Gin, cycle helmets, jigsaws, lactose-free drinks and base layer clothing is in whilst spirit-based drinks, brake pads, children's swings and the fee for stopping a cheque are out. The annual re-calibration of the basket of goods and services used to calculate the consumer price index has been made and it seems that fitness conscious middle-aged people who dabble in Yakult are having even more of an effect on official inflation that I thought.
