Change to the format of AQA A2 Economics Questions

Jim Riley

28th September 2011

Checking back on the AQA Economics spec, I stumbled upon their notice about a change to the format of questions 01 and 04 in their Econ3 and Econ4 A2 papers. The document was created in mid-August and is prominently placed on their subject page. However, if you have not visited the page recently you might, like me, have missed it.

The document can be found here and basically explains how candidates will be asked to perform some calculations rather than interpreting the data alone.

It gives a couple of examples of what this might mean, but it could be a significant enough change to throw a student if they have concentrated on old past papers.

This change will come into force for the January 2012 session. Calculators at the ready!
