Challenges facing NHS funding

Since 2010 real-terms health spending in the UK has increased by an average of 1.4% a year, well below the average annual growth rate of 4% over the past 60 years. The NHS faces a huge number of growing financial pressures including those from demographic change and persistently high levels of relative poverty.
