Back to the Movies!

24th February 2008

A few weeks ago I posted a blog about films which have distinct economic themes running through them. Thanks to everyone who added their own contributions. You can still do that here! Now the Dallas Fed’s annual high-school essay contest, which boasts a $1,000 savings bond as top prize has chosen economics at the movies as their base point. This is flagged up in his blog from the Wall Street Journal. Already there are plenty more quirky examples coming out the discussion.

I am sitting down tonight to watch A Good Year with Russell Crowe, a film one of my students is convinced has a lot to say about work-life balance, opportunity cost and the economics of migration.
