An economic history lesson

Jim Riley

23rd May 2008

In an entry called ‘The Nasty Decades of the Past’ the BBC website offers a historical perspective on hard times.

The article looks at three periods (England in the 1440s/14450s, Britain in the 1840s and Rome in 270AD) and examines why the economy was faltering.

Perhaps of interest to students combining Economics with History or Ancient History at A/AS level…. or beyond.
