Alcohol Consumption Rates in the UK - a quick quiz!
1st May 2018
The consumption of alcohol is a favourite topic for A level students who are discussing de-merit goods. Those looking to make their government solution policies a little more sophisticated may like to take a look at the ONS 2017 (but, apparently, final) annual survey on drinking habits.
For instance, would an increase in duty on alcohol have the same impact for young people as well as those of retirement age? Do restrictions on where people are allowed to drink impact on those with management and professional jobs as much as those with manual jobs?
If you would like to challenge your own pre-conceptions of consumption patterns then try this little 7 question quiz.
Good luck!
