A Tutor2u Meet-Up at the Edinburgh Fringe

Geoff Riley

13th April 2010

For many August isn’t August without a pilgrammage to the Edinburgh Festival Fringe and the Edinburgh International Book Festival. This year the renowned Fringe venue the Pleasance has a new style of show featuring Rachel Bridge - a writer and speaker who really brings enterprise alive. Rachel’s research has provided her with genuine insights into entrepreneurial motivation and what it takes to start small and build a successful business. Rachel is currently the Enterprise Editor of The Sunday Times and her regular weekly column is required reading for business owners, teachers and students alike, just like the columns of Luke Johnson and Mike Southon. Rachel has authored three bestselling books profiling successful entrepreneurs: How I Made It, My Big Idea, and You Can Do It Too. Each is eminently readable, combining practical suggestions and insights at the same time as telling a gripping good story.

tutor2u will be in Edinburgh for a show that starts in the middle week of the Festival and we extend a warm invitation to any teaching colleagues who are in town that week to meet up for a coffee (or something a little stronger!) either before the show or afterwards. Tickets are priced at £9, and concessions at £7.50 Monday to Thursday, and priced at £10, with concessions priced at £8.50 Friday to Sunday. The performance starts at 11.15am daily.

If you are likely to be around and are keen to meet up geoff@tutor2u.net and I will arrange the details.
