A quick and dirty guide to Moodle

Geoff Riley

24th June 2009

UCL, the Open University and the LSE are among a growing number of high profile universities and organisations turning to Moodle as the platform for their courses and training needs. Googling their own Moodle in-service training courses can yield good results for colleagues wanting some helpful resources on how to grow and develop a Moodle course as part of a school or college VLE. Here is one example - Chris Dillon’s Guide to Moodle - a tremendously helpful seven page word document covering nearly all of the Moodle basics. I will have it handy in the weeks to come!

UCL adopted Moodle as its institutional VLE at the start of the 2007/2008 academic year and there are more useful documents and links here.
