3D TV – how firms compete

The race is on for the first sports event to be broadcast live in 3D. Sky looks like they have stolen the march on the BBC by announcing Sunday’s game between Man United and Arsenal will be shown in 3D in 12 pubs across the country. This is just a taste of things to come with Sky launching a dedicated 3D channel in April. Only time will tell if 3D TV turns out to be a flash in the pan gimmick but it is still a great example of a company using innovation to stay ahead of rivals.
