30% rise in public electric car charging points in the UK in 2022

There's been a 30% increase in the number of public charging points that have been installed in the UK during 2022, bringing the total to 37,000. Remarkably, this is in line with the target of having 300,000 public charging points by 2030, by which time the sale of new petrol and diesel cars will be banned.

This will clearly be a good thing, although in the short-term, I'd worry about the effect of the cost of living crisis on the demand for electric cars in the short-term.
