About the course
This course will provide practical guidance and resources to support centres and practitioners to set up and deliver the new AAQ BTEC National in Health & Social Care (Extended Certificate). We have invested a lot of time into thoroughly unpicking and understanding the structure, content and assessment of this qualification, so you don't have to!
Our experienced hosts will facilitate a day which will:
- Highlight the key differences in the newly developed specification
- Explore options for planning this qualification on a two-year, whole course level, including assessment schedules and exam timing
- Look in detail at planning for this qualification on a unit-by-unit basis, including teacher utilisation and choosing your optional unit
- Offer guidance on the appropriate breadth, depth and level of detail you should be teaching at for the mandatory units:
- Unit 1 Human Lifespan and Development
- Unit 2 Human Biology and Health
- Unit 3 Principles of Health and Social Care Practice
Join us for a full day of opportunities to collaborate with colleagues as you prepare your schedule of learning for September 2025.
