Teaching Activity: A Day in the Life (Cash Flow)

Cash flow and cash flow forecasting is a key topic area across a range of different levels and exam boards.
A Day in the Life is a simple, but effective activity that is perfect for introducing the concept of cash flow and cash flow forecasting in a memorable and interactive way.
The activity is simple, the teacher tells the class a story of a 'typical' day which involves cash being spent (outflows) and cash being received (inflows). At the end of the 'day', students need to work out the 'closing balance'.
