UMS Target Calculator

With A-Level Results day upon us, this spreadsheet should help to simplify discussions with your students about their current exam progress.

The idea behind this is to answer the question of 'how many more marks do I need to get an A?' (or a B, C, etc.) This is particularly important for students deciding whether it is worth the extra effort to re-take an exam or not. The spreadsheets are Google Docs which you can either copy to a new Doc if you have a Google account, or download as a Microsoft Excel file and use that. It's based on UMS marks, and students simply enter their grades and maximum possible grades into the spreadsheet, before it then tells them how many more marks they need for each grade. There are AS and A2 versions of the spreadsheet, and they can be accessed here.
