Train fares increases are they fair?

I saw this and thaught it was a good article to discuss when teaching price elasticity.
I thaught this was useful for my learners as many of them are indirectly affected by this as may of their parents are train commutors and have to travel at peak times. I have found it makes the theory a lot easier to understand.
