So you think your job is bad? Amusing look at some of the more unpleasant ways of earning a crust past and present found here in Lapham´s Quaterly. I once worked part of a summer in the chicken packing department of a poultry processing factory. The experience put me off chicken for a good while after and I´d say the job fit somewhere between tedious and disgusting!
