The Lorenz Curve and Gini Coefficient

The IB specification for 2013 states:

Analyse data on relative income shares of given percentages of the population, including deciles and quintiles. Draw a Lorenz curve and explain its significance. Explain how the Gini coefficient is derived and interpreted.

I have used the usual Blink and Dorton(Pages 250-257) to help with this but have also found a few other resources which may be of use.
