The fourth series of one of the most popular television shows for business studies teachers and students returns to our TV screens tonight. Sixteen new applicants have made it though to the shortlist for the role of Sir Alan Sugar’s next Apprentice, hoping to follow in the footsteps of Tim Campbell, Michelle Dewberry and Simon Ambrose.

Not surprisingly, there have been plenty of pre-series interviews with Sir Alan over the last few days as the BBC pr machine rolls into action. Links to a selection of these are provided below.

The Apprentice is great drama. And it also provides some wonderful examples of business studies in action, as the contestants are posed a series of entrepreneurial and management challenges.

We’ll be following each episode and suggesting ways in which you might integrate elements of the new series in your business lessons.

Pre-launch interviews with Sir Alan Sugar:

Sir Alan - Still Talking Tough (Times Online)
The Apprentice: Behind the scenes with Sir Alan Sugar (Daily Telegraph)
The ultimate school of hard knocks (Guardian)
