Ride-Sharing and the Business of Transport

This is a brilliant Economist piece looking at how ride-sharing and ride-hailing apps will shape the future of transport. It's part of the Change Makers series and gives a fascinating insight into how this 'creative destruction' has altered the market.
For me, the universality of Uber is remarkable as are its numbers: 40m people use Uber each month, in 450 cities. Equally, the notion that both apps have reduced the need for young people to own a car and the implications of this for future congestion levels is exciting.
