RDB Case Study - Week 5 activities

31st January 2013

By now, your students probably know the answers to the following questions:Who was the visionary at RDB? Who empowered RDB's middle managers? Who adopted TQM, Kaizen and benchmarking at RDB? Who was a lifelong industrialist? Who worked at an investment bank in New York? Do the workers at RDB have job security? Are they proud to work for RDB?If your students are struggling to answer these, then read on...

This week's activity is to get students to create a personnel profile of Henrik, Valdemar, Anna and the employees of RDB. There are various ways to do this, such as:

  • Bullet-pointed lists for Henrik, Valdemar, Anna and the employees
  • True or False questions, e.g. Valdemar is occasionally autocratic - True or False?
  • Guess the person questions, e.g. Who gained an MBA post-graduate degree?

If students produce either of the latter two, you can get them to test each other using the quizzes they've produced. It's a great way to get to know the people in the case study and can be fun too. Give it a go.
