Product Life Cycle - iPod Declines from Table to Shelf

Is there a better example of sales data that illustrates the classic product life cycle than Apple's iPod?
The chart further below suggests the iPod is a terrific example to use with students to illustrate the different stages of the PLC.
And now news breaks that the iPod has been relegated from the prominent table space in Apple's stores to a place on the wall shelves alongside those adapters, cables and earphones.
