Pret doubles the discount for using reusable cups

Geoff Riley

3rd January 2018

Working on the waste hierarchy principle that reducing trumps recycling, Pret has boosted their CSR credibility by doubling the discount given to customers who bring reusable cups into their stores. A 50p discount will now apply - a great example of a nudge designed to change customer behaviour. Will 2018 be the year when businesses across the board see the value from fast-forwarding plans to reduce the amount of plastic waste? The economic, environmental and human imperative is clear.
