Drat! It's like waiting for a bus and then three come along at once. Last summer I challenged you to come up with your favourite examples of what looks like pointless market segmentation: we had Bic biros for women fighting for a top spot. Now along come a whole host of products leaving us asking if the marketeers might have gone a bit too far in tailoring their products to the wants and needs of a specific group of consumers... in these examples, mostly women and girls.
