Patent Pending
3rd June 2009
A nice short article here about how to get your invention noticed.
“To qualify for a patent, your idea has to be new and it has to be innovative - that is, not obvious,” explains Graham Jones OBE, Vice President of the Institute of Patentees and Inventors.
Key points:
A patent should protect your ‘intellectual property’. That means that for a limited time, your ideas can’t be copied.
Getting a patent can be both tricky and expensive: they are desirable, but not essential.
Do your research – always a golden rule! Don’t be persuaded by what you or your friends and family think is a good idea – check your target market.
