Not-for-profit enterprise in action - interview with Tim Smit

27th September 2008

There is a great interview in the Telegraph today with Tim Smit - the entrepreneur behind Britain’s fourth most popular tourist attraction - the Eden Poject…

The article is an interview with Smit and it contains some great business studies material.

I was particularly drawn to the methods by which Smit and his team raised the finance for the Eden Project. I dont recall seeing these methods described in the new AQA textbooks, though you’ll be aware of the concept of working for nothing as a source of finance if you’ve joined us for our AQA Teacher Workshops.

Well worth printing or saving the article as an example of a fantastic entrepreneurial success by a not-for-profit organisation.
