Motivating the 80%

The 80/20 principle is often used to refer to the fact that 20% of staff contribute to 80% of the output of an organisation. In terms of motivating the 80%, I wondered how successful this tool might be.

The Holy Grail of any business is increasing productivity, and this usually means getting the best out of the human capital available.

As a fun exercise, watch the video clip and discuss the implications in the context of Herzberg’s well known two factor theory in relation to hygeine or motivator factors.
