Locating a Startup Business | Front Room Enterprise by this Baking Entrepreneur

30th August 2022
Lovely short video tweet here from the BBC showcasing how Ben Gray turned his front room into a bakery after losing his job during the pandemic.
The space limitations of the front room, as well as Ben's time, obviously impact his production capacity. He currently makes 200 pastries and 40 loaves of bread per week.
Ben's customer base is predominantly local and the enthuse about his product quality. Let's hope they continue to support him during the economic downturn.
As for the bakery, the biggest threat seems to be the doubling of electricity prices, which are a significant cost for the business as electricity powers items such as the dough mixers and ovens.
