Five top tips before the first two papers this afternoon…

1) Make sure you plan your answer before you start writing. Make use of the 5min reading time to outline an answer in your head, once the reading time is over write down the plan

2) Always define key economic terms in the question.

3) Make use of well labelled and accurate diagrams wherever possible. Explain your diagram once you have drawn it, don’t just ‘dump’ it in the text.

4) Use real world examples. Back up your economic theory wherever possible.

5) Make an interesting and informed conclusion to you essay. Avoid phrases such as ‘in summary’ and ‘in conclusion’. Make your answer stand out from the rest.
