Motivation is one area of that I always found quite challening to teach in an interesting way. With this in mind I designed a group activity called Kinaesthetic Motivation. Kinaesthetic Motivation has been designed spefically to enhance the teaching and learning of motivation within the classroom. Its is an activity that is carried out in small groups and as well as enhancing the teaching of motivation, it also helps develop students thinking skills as well as the higher level skills of analysis and evaluation. Kinaesthetic Motivation consists of 3 different teaching and learning strategies, allowing teachers to give students an overview of what motivates people as well as allowing teachers to deliver the theories of Maslow and/ or Herzberg in a highly interactive way. The activity is suitable for a range of Business Studies courses including BTEC, GCSE and A Level. The resource consists of 4 sets of Kinaesthetic Motivation Cards as well as detailed instructions on all 3 teaching and learning strategies making this an ideal activity to help you deliver motivation within the classroom.Kinaesthetic Motivation can be ordered from here(Note that Kinaesthetic Motivation was provided to delegates attending TBBLE 2)
