iPad2 in the classroom apps for teaching.

Some of the apps I am currently using either in the classroom or for developing lessons.

I am currently trying to get to grips with the intricacies of “Underscore Notify” because it has a fabulous web clipping facility that allows me to annotate news stories that I can then project onto the big screen in class. Within notify there are a whole range of notebooks and editing functions and it synchs with Evernote and Dropbox for easy access to all my materials and the photographs that I use when teaching. Adobe Ideas and Penultimate are excellent for simple note taking and drawing economics diagrams and Informant HD is the way i synchronise my school and home diaries and teaching timetable.

I use Keynote for presentations in class and then i have all the usual newspapers. Disappointingly “The Telegraph” my once favourite is now a subscription newspaper.

For communicating with students I use Friendly for Facebook and Twitter.

Playing Scrabble over a network is great fun and my current favourite for watching movies when I travel is Cinexplayer which allows me to transfer all my movies via iTunes onto the Ipad2.
