Get on board the startup train
3rd July 2012
This is an opportunity to follow a startup business from launch, if you are quick enough. CaterCost is an online service targeting the catering industry and is launching this week.
In the words of CaterCost: “One of the basic principles of good business practice: Know your costs - control your margins.” and this is where they start to add value, taking the stress away from chefs and bringing some business acumen to enhance their business. Behind the business is a combination of entrepreneurial spirit and experience in the catering & hospitality industry.
Unless you were at BTNC and were lucky enough to fight your way to the front of the entrepreneurial queue, this presents an interesting opportunity to follow a business from the beginning. I will update this blog if I can gleam some more facts at a later date from Katy.
I love their video which you can see on their website and you should recognise the homage to DollarShaveClub, which is a perfect opportunity for a little compare and contrast!

“I’m no Vanderbilt, but this train makes hay”... let’s hope so!
