There are many losers in the economic downturn, but Dominos Pizza isn’t one of them. Sales of takeaway pizza are rising strongly as consumers opt for the convenience of takeaways…

Very strong growth in UK sales reported by Dominos Pizza today.

Sales across the 535 Domino outlets in the UK and Ireland rose by 17.8% to £83.3m over the last three months. That’s pretty impressive sales growth.

Lots of good business studies in the article linked above. It would make a useful intro to a discussion with students about how consumer spending patterns might change during the credit crunch.
