FDI - Pupils Create Film

Here is a different, fun and engaging way to teach FDI. Turn your volume up.

I used the criteria from the IB HL Econ Development Spec to guide pupils of what they need to research, gave them 5 lessons of contact time, (plus some of their own time will be required of course) and made good use of the pupils creativity, their i-phones and their own costumes. I tried to interfere as little as possible. This was their gig. Using a Case Study approach, as well as some creative ad-libbing, allows them to really get into the role of MNC and the pros and cons of FDI. As we approach the revision season post Christmas, this is a different activity to help finish learning the actual syllabus content on a positive note. Should help pupils with their evaluation skills, of examples and key stakeholders who are affected by this FDI (something examiners are hoping to see in May 2013).

Attached is some guidance for your pupils.

Have fun.
