Edexcel the Big Winner from Spec Change for A Level Business

5th June 2015

The results of a comprehensive survey of over 10,000 Business & Economics teachers this week indicates that Edexcel is the main beneficiary of the introduction of new AS & A Level Business specifications from Sept 2015. Long-time market leader AQA has retained top spot, but has lost share to Edexcel which is now the most popular alternative. Together, AQA and Edexcel look set to take over 80% of the market.

The survey results suggest that OCR, whose new specification has been heavily criticised, faces a near wipe-out of centres. OCR has been overtaken by WJEC/eduqas.

Relatively few departments have yet to make their choice, with only 5% of respondents indicating that they have "not decided yet".

Full details of tutor2u's comprehensive teaching & learning support materials for AQA, Edexcel and WJEC/eduqas A Level Business are to be announced in week commencing 8 June 2015.

A full series of resource-packed CPD courses is already available and there are still some spaces left for colleagues wishing to fast-track their preparation for the new specifications.
